Hello BHS Families, 

Due to the school closure today, we are updating the BHS Regents/Midterm testing calendar for this week. We have made adjustments to meet New York State regulations in accordance with the January Regents testing session. This has resulted in some midterm exam sessions being cancelled, in order to make up mandated Regents sessions. 

Please read the following information carefully:

• We will reschedule the English Languages Arts (ELA) Regents, for Wednesday, January 21st at 8:30 am (report by 8am). 

• We will reschedule the Living Environment Regents for Wednesday, January 21st at 8:30am (report by 8am). 

• We will  reschedule the Chemistry Regents for Wednesday, January 21st at 12pm (report by 11:30am).

• We will also hold all Regents exams originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st. Both the AM and PM sessions.  We have moved the US Regents from AM session to PM session. 

• We have cancelled midterm exams that were missed on Tuesday, January 20th AND midterms for Wednesday, January 21st. They will be rescheduled during regular school hours.

  • AP US History &Gov (APUSH): This midterm WILL be rescheduled for Friday January 23rd @ 9am (report by 8:30am). 

Here is an updated schedule that includes ALL exams scheduled to run.

In summary, if your child missed the ELA Regents, Chemistry Regents, or Living Environment Regents exam scheduled for today, please have your child attend school tomorrow, Wednesday January 21st for the alternative session. Look closely to make sure that they come at the correct time.  These exams will be in addition to the originally scheduled Regents exams for this day. 

If your child missed a midterm today, OR has a midterm tomorrow, Wednesday, January 21st, that exam is cancelled and will be administered at a later date. Your child should not report to school for that exam on Wednesday.

 

All students should follow their original exam schedule for Thursday and Friday. This includes Regents and midterms. APUSH midterm has been added to the Friday AM session. This exam will begin at 9am (report by 8:30am).

Parents, please note we have made an additional update to our testing schedule.

The US Regents retakes have been moved from Wednesday, January 21st @ 8:30 am, to Wednesday, January 21st @ 12 pm. Students with both exams will sit for ELA Regents (AM session), and then US History Regents (PM session).

This was due to multiple students having conflicts with the ELA Regents exam in the AM session.
